You must adjust front breake twice because you removed that when took fork off.

Congrats to the new stage of your house and studio project. In the meantime, I converted my MTB into a drop bar MTB with a rigid fork and road brake & shifter levers. Most necessary skills I learned from ... your lessons!

For what it’s worth, I just picked up my Trek Checkpoint from the shop today. It was a full tear down. They disassembled the entire bike, cleaned everything (I’m told there was a lot of salt), replaced all the cables, installed new BB, bled the brakes, etc. It’s the most radical service they offer.

I was charged a little over $300. That’s a lot, of course, but the amount does not offend me. The bike should be like new. I also must keep the amount in context. I’m an attorney. I charge by the hour. My time has value; the same goes for the mechanic.

Good to see you on the channel. I haven't seen any activity on Strava, either. I was worried Hashimoto might have affected you, so this is very good to find you're fine and back to your things 👍

Love your studio Danny. Are you going to live there?

Best thing I can tell is that you had to use the steam cleaner twice. When cleaning the BB area, should've cleaned the fork area because you knew it was going to need to be cleaned anyway
I don't know if you have the space, but honestly. Just cleaning the bike with a hose/pressure washer before it steps inside could help eliminate that issue fully

Front brakes were done twice. First time was when you replaced the cable and the second after you serviced the fork.

Cool place. Yes, you adjusted the front brakes, then pulled the fork off later.

3:47 Great you showed that.
But plastic reflectors can fail shatter when they fall off, leaving sharp plastic bits riders can puncture on.
SO I am not a fan of using reflectors of this type, reflective sticker is or something attached directly to each spoke separately is much better. Solutions like this exist. But not many shops sell them.
Like reflective sleeves that go on the spokes, reflective stickers on the rim.

Danny, I have a suggestion for a fresh video theme if you haven't explored it already: torque wrenches. I recently acquired one (2-20 nm) at a steal for 30 €, typically priced well above twice that. Prior to the purchase, several inquiries arose: Who needs one? What kind should I choose? Should it be adjustable with a wider range or limited to 2-3 predetermined fixed wrenches? Are the bit sets universally compatible? Worth noting, my bike has an aluminum frame, not even carbon.

3:53 - And soon the centrifugal force will move this reflective thing to the previous position ;)

Do you have a video on waxing your chain? I used canola oil for a while but after about eight months I'm looking for a better one. I tried to make the wax myself before but I couldn't find a good enough formula. I would appreciate your advice.

Hello sir.
Send you a question in an old video about the length of the exotic fork you use for your Kona explosif. Can you please answer me ? I wait to read you before I order the same fork 🙏🏻
Thank you very much.

Disc brakes don't wear out rims but are PITA to maintain.
