The 2019 powerwagon with the 6.4l gas is a fantastic vehicle 2 years in.. no towing with it just a offroader and town worker. Fantastic vehicle no complaints except came with small tires

I have a 2020 Ram 2500 Laramie Air Ride Suspension Cummins that I pull a 20 Ton GVW tag trailer with all my equipment. The truck doesn't even break a sweat, It wants more! Its a pulling monster! and when it comes time to slow down, better have your seat belt on because that exhaust brake is a beast!! I just had the DPF and DEF removed last weekend with custom tuning and I cannot wait to get hooked up to that trailer again!

I bought a ‘21 2500 Laramie with a Cummins back in January & I absolutely love it. More than enough room & power to haul all 6 of us & our 30ft camper around the state.
It was definitely a challenge to find a 6 passenger Laramie with body color matching bumpers and grille & a Cummins in our price range but we did it.

i have the same truck leveled on 35's with the stock wheels and i average 16ish in the city and about 19-20 on the hwy here in south Louisiana. I will say though at 2K miles the check engine light came on and showed something with the trans valve body. it drove fine but brought it in and 2 months later I got it back. Apparently they had a recall and i was one of the lucky ones and naturally with dealers not being able to get parts they just replaced the whole trans that had different part number. The dealer told me they made updates to the one that was installed and changes made to the valve body . Other than that what nobody talks about is the factory HC 19 speaker sound system with the sub, this is the best sound system i have ever owned and i have owned all brands . The factory radio in my 2018 raptor was a joke. Anyway great review!

The high output Cummins with the ASIN transmission is an option even on the 3500, , you can only get it on the 3500 but as an option, so, on the 2500 you can only get the standard Cummins, with the 3500 you can choose the standard Cummins for roughly $9000 more than Gas models or the high output Cummins for roughly $12, 000 more then the gas model,
so, when you are looking to buy a 1 ton ram, it doesn't necessarily mean that it has that high output Cummins in it

The 6.4 hemi goes through the same 300, 000 mile test the Cummins does. Just did a almost 3000 mile round trip with my 2019 hemi pulling a 9, 000 travel trailer, it didn’t even break a sweat.

I just got a 2021 RAM Laramie Mega Cab. Love it so far! With the chip shortage they are getting scarce.

Decent review. I drive a variety of 1 ton diesel trucks for work towing stock trailers mostly. The big three all make good trucks. My personal truck is a 21 Ram 3500 HO with the Aisan transmission.
Two points that Andre didn’t cover: The Cummins is a slow turning inline diesel that develops its torque early in its power band which makes it good for towing bad for the drag strip. The other point is that the exhaust brake on the Ram is far superior to Ford or GM. I have descended mountain passes with 20, 000+ on the gooseneck and there is no pucker factor with the Ram.

When I was deciding between diesel and gas I did a lot of research and also talked with my uncle who is a diesel mechanic. Based on that I went gas. It is my understanding that diesels do not do well sitting around or just being used for short trips in town. You run into regen issues. Can you guys do a video on this topic???

Great video Andre!

#10: A bit misleading. The 3500 is available with both the SO/68RFE and HO/AISIN diesel engines as well as the Hemi/8HP75-LCV.
#8: Also a bit misleading. See my comment on #10.
#3: CCLB trucks offer an optional 50 gallon fuel tank.
#2: Aux Trailer is an option on any trim level, not included unless the XFQ sales code is used. 2022 changes options up a bit with the addition of a digital tow mode camera that displays in the rearview mirror as well as an available 360° trailer system that will automatically add the wiring for the cameras.

First video I've seen of yours, and must say, it was very refreshing. You talked about the specs and features that matter with a HD truck, and not how "pretty" it looks. We will be purchasing a HD 1-ton truck for traveling (pulling a 5th wheel) in the next 12 months, and want to make sure we find the right truck for our needs. Video's like this are extremely helpful.

CAN I GET AN UPDATE!?!? AT 5:35 he mentions the transmission hump! Then he says the new ones do not have it. CAN SOMEONE SECOND THIS?! Does anyone have a 2022 and not have the transmission hump?! THANK YOU!

You do realize that the 3500 also comes with the same motor and trans as the 2500. The HO motor is another option. You keep talking as if all 3500 models come with the HO motor which is not true.

My dad drives a 2015 RAM 2500 with the Cummins. 73k miles and only one issue with the coolant reservoir tank. It's been a very reliable truck.
