--------------------------
A little about me:
Sean Daniel is a man. A man of simple needs and desires. And the one desire, no, the one NEED, that stands above all is to spread the challenges, joy and intellectual stimulus of music to people of Earth and beyond.
Born on the mean streets of upper middle class suburban Chicago, Sean learned the ways of the world through the dizzying heights of success to the lonesome depths of failure and emerged with the promise of a better tomorrow reflecting in his eyes and fiery passion in his belly.
He plays and teaches guitar on his YouTube channel where he regularly releases original music and projects to the adulation of legions of fans, who often compare him to Chris Pratt and one time Ryan Reynolds. He’s currently in the market for a nice leather jacket.

Knowing the chords in the 'D' shape helped me a lot, gave a place to land and play double stops when getting lost in a solo. Notice I said when and not 'if' getting lost in a solo, if you never got lost you don't solo much. Being able to recover and not panic is the key there. LOL 8) JMHO --gary

When I'm not busy triple stopping a double stop I like getting on a pentatonic and sliding around! Cheers Sean!!

Me: Getting frustrated adapting things I know in a way that sounds musical.
Sean: I got you. Here's this quick lesson that makes perfect sense based on what you already know.

Amazing to me....all those years my parents and then I lived in good ole Sarasota, Florida and struggled to find any truly competent guitar instructors or even once we move out of that nice area to Texas (near Dallas & Austin so some great blues) I discover Sean with his great handle on everything guitar-wise pertinent and humorous!! Great insightful lessons, S.D.!! Jim C.

Fantastic lesson. Like you said, it really helps pull together (and extend) things we already know and break out of the damn boxes!

I have gotton pretty good at using the entire fretboard melodically using a popular 60's song (Wipeout)and some A minor pentatonic blues backing tracks as a base, BUT it's the same-o same-o (?) and couldn't seem to break the mold. Your lesson has spiced things up a bit (even my wife has noticed it)! Thanks!

As someone who learned how to play songs and not play the guitar growing up and is now trying at 55 to learn how to play the guitar this is always wonderful and I can't wait for your new videos. So my question is can we use the e-root note as the position name for the double stop and that be the guide as to where to run from the different chords? Hope that remotely made sense thanks
