as a musician it was pretty easy so 10/10, but great explanations of concepts; i could see someone with no musical experience do well purely because of your great explanations

My wife claims to be tone deaf and she got 100% right. I've played Trombone for years, sang in the church choir, and I sing for residents at a convalescent hospital, and I missed one of the questions about resolution. Guess I have some work to do. I've always told my wife that she had a good voice and all she needed was some training. Maybe now she might believe me.

Not a musician or music theory student, just a passionate music listener. Scored 10/10 without doubts on any question.

I got 9 out of 10. Been told I was tone deaf. Music teacher in 5th grade asked me to lip sync because I sang flat. That was in the 60's. Listen to music dailly--all genres. Dad was a performing Opera singer then later a graphic illustrator. I consider myself very lucky to have learned to love music, and all the arts.
Very well done, Sir! Thanks!

I am a musician, and I took the test just to see how you constructed it. The examples were very clear and you explained the concepts excellently. I rate your test 10/10. (I also scored 10/10, but I would have been shocked not to, given my decades of musical training.)

My late husband was totally tone deaf.
We were dancing at a Christmas party, and he was singing the song quietly.
He never changed the note - totally monotone.

I got 9/10. This video is so awesome. Not only a test, u teach me well how to understand about basic music that i may don't understand how beautifull music art in every single tone. It's great to know hidden art of music itself. Thanks a lot.

I got all 10 correct. Sometimes people are incorrectly called tone deaf because they can't sing a matching note-- they sing out of tune. The ability to sing in key is quite different from the ability to hear the notes correctly. Anyway, long ago was told I was tone deaf when I hired a teacher to learn to sing. After the first 15 minutes, she wouldn't take me as a student because she said I was tone deaf.

As a 15 year old with no official musical training, I surprised myself by getting a 10/10. It helped a bit that everything was well explained, but it all also just made sense to me in a way.

This was fun! As a guitar student of just under a year I got 10/10 and I feel like I definitely learned something from this video

I'm a musician and my gf is close to tone deaf. She brings a breath of fresh air to music for me. In order for her to love a piece she literally just... Loves the music. No overthinking. Just vibes. I love that woman so much

At 72 years of age, and having difficulty with hearing, I was able to score a perfect 10 out of 10. It was a fun test and I thank you for such a chance to find out my difficulty hearing doesn't preclude enjoying music to the best of my ability.

9/10. I play keyboard instruments and this test was very well put together. Before taking this test I just thought tone deaf meant that you couldn't recognize a certain note, and as a result I thought I was tone deaf. I'm glad you have clarified that for me.

Saw this on my recommended, my family always told me I was always good at singing but I was surprised when I got everything right. This was really fun to do, thank you for this!

Just the music at the beginning earned a sub from me.

I'm 22 years old with no musical training, and got 10/10. The test was pretty fun and I got to learn some terms that I never bothered looking up about music. Thank you!

I'm not a musician and scored 10/10. The explanation made the test understandable and I appreciate this, bc I've never heard about tone deafness, well, at least until now. Idk if listening to music almost 24/7 helped, since I have lots of playlists for different purposes 😅 but I appreciate this test as a new thing for my life

I got 8 of 10..I started to self-study playing a piano but I stopped momentarily due to various commitments and life happening..it is much better to have someone physically teaching you to know the right way
