Goal of practices: Liberation mind from unsatisfactory.

1st: discipline body and words to stay away from regret. Abstain from killing beings, stealing, sexual misconduct, lying and intoxicants. Dont do unwholesome things, so you dont have to worry about it.

2nd: Mental calmness. Meditation.

3rd: Wisdom from three means. Gain wisdom through learning, reflecting and practising.

I am from Thailand and I am Buddhism, right now I am trying to figure out what religion is true, but Buddhism is the most sense to me, and there is many thing that people get wrong about Buddhism such as Buddha is a god, but in reality he is a teacher ( a good teacher)

I am going into my 30s sober 3 years, loyal and married, righting my wrongs from my past and doing the best I can.
Thank you for this ❤

I have never seen a monk who explains budhdha's philosophy in straightforward and clear manner. Discipline, Concentration, and Wisdom, and further breaking wisdom into learning, wise reflection, and wisdom gained through practice is so powerful. In my life whenever I go through a hardship or a downfall, reflective thinking helped me to determine the lessons from those experiences and gain the wisdom that helped me to navigate my life better.

Raised Christian, but right around when I started questioning Santa, I kinda just figured God isn't real either. I was 12 when I had become introduced to Buddhism and I think it was just a history channel episode.

They said that there isn't a god, its just a practice, I really clicked with that. Like I didn't need a god to be good, I needed self control and the notion that it was within me rather than being held by a god that I have to get it from, that changed everything about me forever.

I think for myself and take it at face value before I judge things, but if I had stayed ignorant, I would have judged everything and never give anything a chance.
