Some Tampa residents refuse to evacuate despite Florida officials' warnings | Vargas Reports

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has urged Florida residents in danger zones to leave Tuesday ahead of Hurricane Milton’s expected landfall Wednesday evening.

My friends husband stayed during a hurricane, she took her two kids and left two days later they found his body. He told herr he was going to stay to protect the house. He could do nothing to protect against a hurricane. He died in his collapse house. It's not worth it. Leave!!

Evacuation doesn't mean you have to drive to Canada, just get inland a few miles. If your place is not destroyed you can be back in it soon. If it is wow, good decision.

This isn't okay. They even have free transportation and shelter. Instead they put other people's lives in danger to rescue them, if they can be rescued.

Police warned us for Sandy that they would not be able to reach us … we evacuated our house was totaled by Sandy . My senior neighbors stayed and yes they died.

There are many ( not myself)who do not have either a vehicles, money, or seniors who are not tech savvy and feel helpless. There is help for you.
If you have the means than EVACUATE, if not call the non emergency number to get assistance if you don't have transportation. Uber and put in Miltonrelief in code and get a free ride.
