It's ignorant to put the GM title in front of people's names who have not legitly earned it! I thought as an international Master you would have more sense!

No joke, I have a massive chess final on monday at my school and my opponent is 1800 ELO (i’m 1400) This video could not have had better timing.

The conversion in game 1 was very impressive for a 700. It is easy to panic in a situation like that

Can you do a recap of the blitz match between Duda vs Anton where there were 4 queens on the board at one point in the game. You most likely won't see this but it's a game I'd love to see you cover.

Gotham makes best chess content on Youtube. He teaches almost everything here and its very helpful for me. Thanks! Keep going!

You should do a video series "After The Opening" - you explain how to play typical middlegames, how to play with a slightly better position (more space/more development) and positional concepts etc. The thing all of us need in order to improve our overall chess.
Maybe also some endgame strategy

I'm 1900-2000 and was very impressed with Ashish's play in the 1st game. Very nicely done mate.

Hi Levy....can you do more ELO Swap? I thought that was a great series and would love to see more of it.

Brilliant idea for a series!
Its best to keep your spirits up and aim for what might seem impossible to grasp. Chess is a mental game and having fear of a higher rated player will degrade your play style. Every person comes to the board as equals, your moves are what prove your worth

I love watching these videos and seeing strategy and openings and then me at 300 its all thrown out the window when they play like a drunken blind man

Levy I love this content. Feels like your coaching the players, your community and these low level games are always entertaining.

Lame claim to fame, but I had a winning position against Nepo in his last banter blitz on Chess24 (I am almost 2000 blitz on lichess, around 1800 at the time). He blundered but I already thought I was losing so I missed the tactic that would give me a winning position. If you are interested, his losing move was the queen move at 1:23:45 in his banter blitz streamed 9 months ago. Miracles do happen, never give up against higher rated players!

That dude in Game 1 is definitely strongest 700 I have ever seen.

Am I the only person who gains like 50 ELO one day and then proceeds to lose 100 the next day?

I watch a lot of chess videos (I just started playing 6 months ago). IMO you are one of the best if not the best I've come across simplifying different openings and tactics. You talk to the beginner better than the other masters I subscribe to. You're video have gotten me from 700's to 1200's rating. So thank you!

Levy: *points out to all of us that his shirt is unbuttoned*
Also Levy: "Hope you didn't catch that."
