I took a train into Colorado's Weminuche Wilderness and spent a week backpacking and Tenkara flyfishing, covering over 60 miles and 8 pass crossings. There were many beautiful lakes and streams among these wild mountains. This is Colorado's big wilderness and where some of its most rugged and stunning mountains are found--The Needles and Grenadier Ranges. Peaks with names like Storm King, Vestal, and Silux. The lakes hold big cutthroat trout and the streams are crystal clear trout-filled dreams. What a place!

Where did you get off of the train? I’ve done a trip that started by getting off at the Needleton station. We climbed Mount Eolus as a day trip while we were camped up high. Had a group of about 40 mountain goats and their kids invade our campsite!
