Olympic National Park - Hiking Solo 60 Miles

There can only be one BEST hike in Olympic National Park! For my money, this is it. On Labor day weekend of 2021, I solo hiked 60 miles through the Quinault Rainforest, also known as, "The Valley of the Rain Forest Giants" because of the number of record size tree species located there. With each step, this journey just get's better and better as you make your way to The Enchanted Valley and over 3 absolutely stunning mountain passes: Anderson, LaCrosse and the bear packed O'Neil pass. One of my all time favorite adventures. Enjoy!

Fantastic. Should have more views. Genius shots. I was really in awe of what I’d seen. I think you might have a calling for this. Look into it.

What a great video, I am really rethinking my position of having music in adventure videos... It really does add some depth, especially when it doesn't over power mother nature. Great Job Shane!

7:45 unless it was dry, I remember in early August 1997 there being a tarn right at Anderson Pass. I was standing there admiring it for a minute or two before some movement on the other side of the tarn caught my eye — a black bear had been there the entire time grazing away.

Love!! Can you detail the specific trail or route you did? Love the footage and I’ve been trying to plan a backpack trip over there so would consider doing the same one. Thanks!

Thanks for the video! It's very helpful for planning a trip. Your shots are great and I hope your channel gets more attention. Can you explain more about where you're camping each night? I'm curious if you're staying around the group sites or if you are disperse camping off of the trail for a more isolated site.

Awesome video. Did you carry bear spray? Do you think it’s necessary?
