Weminuche Wilderness, San Juan Mountains, Colorado - 60 Miles Solo Hiking and Tenkara Flyfishing

The Durango-Silverton train dropped me off at Elk Park. From there I did about a 52 mile loop back to the train with an 8-mile fishing side trip. The route was steep up Elk Creek then over the Continental Divide twice into the Ute Lakes, Flint Lake, and Rock Lake basins, up Vellecito and Nebo Creeks and then back down Elk Creek to the train pick up. Late August. Mostly good weather and good fishing.
