Your ability to generate anticipation during the pause is art.

Soon the pause will be longer than the video itself....LOL

Minimalism helped me to care more about my freetime. Instead of scrolling, I play more with my cats.
Let me tell all of you that I had so many games, so many merch and I got rid of 90% of it. I dont miss it a second. Its just weird how you think, that you can never ever detach this item but atfer a time you dont even think about it anymore. And even if you want it back, this world is so full, you can always buy it again - but spoiler: you will never buy it again.

Minimalism is something that you chose for yourself, its not about "I have less things than him!". Everyone decide for itself what minimalism means. But owning only a few items is really a game and life changer.

I have started to embrace minimalism and it’s amazing how certain people think something is wrong me since I’m not spending money or doing certain things.

I’ve struggled with mental health issues in the past and staying off social media almost magically made them go away. I wouldn’t go as far as to say, I’m completely connected with the world again, yet I’m connected with myself and found inner peace. Also reducing the group of people I spend with made my connections with the people I really care about much deeper and more meaningful! Your tips are great, love your content! 😌

That pause is amazing. I needed a chuckle so it was perfect. The music was a great touch.

Tips in the video were great!

you won the staring competition this time Nick ! Thanks for this sort of recap video, I made a few changes last year with regards scaling down possessions but slowly started getting back to bad habits again. This video will hopefully provide another kick start !

I’ve noticed as I have gotten older gaming just doesn’t do it for me right now. Maybe I’ll go back to it. But something that I get dopamine now is hiking and walking.

One day the pause between the invitation to subscribe and getting the actual video started is just going to be the video itself. And it'll be glorious.

I would really love to stop using digital electronics, but with my work and since I live in another country alone, I cannot stop it completely. But trying to lessen it is really helping. ❤

I found being offline a lot so no social media (including youtube) helped me with financial frugalism and stopped my consumerism in general as i have as no long impressed or influenced by random things i saw online. Also i too have both kindle and physical books and love to switch it up time to time. I tell myself before i game (animal crossing for switch if im looking for cozy, ff7 remake on ps5 if im hungry for a proper gaming experience or something like pokemon black 2 {or anything pokemon gens 1-5} emulated on an anbernic rg353v if i want nostalgia)... Then i have to make sure i go for a run/jog that day before enjoying it and if i havent exercised or i ate something non healthy than theres no gaming. I often float between reading and gaming. I think starting next week there will no longer be social media for me for a long time (hoping to beat the addiction)

Consumerism in electronic upgrades is my weakness. I wish I could handle it better

I’ve gotten the stage where I just like my favorites YouTubers content before watching the video. Cause you definitely knows it’s “improvement” time

Great video! Your videos are sometimes the way I get my attention span back. I always appreciate the medium length these are so I can force myself to get out of the doomscrolling that I do too often.

Love that you discuss minimalism. It seems to be less talked about now than a few years ago. For me, it is an ingrained lifestyle: just part of who I am. Keep up the great work. How about more content on your travels? Enjoy your Time!

as someone who has mental health issue, its always been impossible to practice minimalism. sometimes, the urge of impulsive buying is unbearable. i always look for something to buy online. there are times where i bought it bcs of i lose to impulsivity, and regret it later bcs im no longer using it. however, i try to control the urge to buy and practice minimalism. what i do? i try very hard to find reasons not to buy such as think deeply on the later consequence for regretting the decision and sometimes i try to look for flaws for the items that i want to buy like electronic items. there are things i cannot live with and that is my phone and my earpiece bcs i want to distract myself from you know listening to the voices inside my head. so sometimes my impulsive buying consists of upgrading to new phone and sometimes upgrading to a newer earbuds. so, to those who deals with mental health issue, i know the struggle of practicing minimalism. bcs youre not alone.
