I hit my first ATP August 3rd, 2024. It was only my second time ever playing pickleball. It felt really good and everyone just stopped in awe. So very cool moment to experience!

You cannot talk about the dink without also talking about grip. New players grip the paddle way to strong, the dink uses a 3/10 grip tightness to ensure the ball stays low. You also didn't talk about an aimpoint for the dink...the opponents feet.

You guys are great fun to watch! I LOVE this sport! I’m not athletic, been playing for about a year and got MY FIRST ATP last week, Dec 29, 2022! My opponents were so surprised because of my (lack of) skill level, they stopped and came up to congratulate me! Such fun!

I hit an ATP on 5/16/23 and didn't even know what it was called until after watching this video two days later today! Thank you ThatPickleballGuy!🤩

You're the man, Kyle! As a total NEWB Pickleball player, your content is awesome!!! I'm no longer just flailing around, trying to kill every shot that comes my way. Thanks for making these videos both informative and super entertaining!!!

You probably should have mentioned that during an Erne attempt you cannot touch the lines around the kitchen or go in the kitchen (unless the ball has bounced of course). I've been playing for 4 months and have a couple ATPs, but I've yet to get an Erne...

Great video! I’m a Pickleball newbie. Been playing about once a week since July. This video really explains the fundamental shots well.

I've been playing about 3.5 years now. I have had several ERNE's - one just last week against a good high level player. I have had several ATPs - even one off of a serve from opponent. I have also had 2 'come backers' hit ball over the net and it spins backward over the net. Thanks for your instructional videos.

You are a great teacher. This video was informative, easy to understand, and not condescending. I have been playing about a month. I started at an indoor rec cetner court. I have also played at 2 different outdoor courts. (shout out to Key West, Fla and Troy, NC; amazed at how welcomiing and helpful these groups were). Do you have a video that addresses the differences between playing indoors and outdoors?

Hi Kyle. This is only the second comment I’ve left for a video in my life. You are now officially my Pickleball Guy and I’m rooting for you to go professional.
I’ve been playing for just a month or so and yours are among the first videos I’ve looked at. They are informative and fun to watch and you make me laugh as you’re teaching me. I love ‘em. You have my enthusiastic support and encouragement for making it to the professional ranks. If there’s any type of support in addition to cheering for you that we fans of yours can offer let us know.

Thank you for explaining the erne. We play at the Gilbert Regional Park all the time. I had a hard time visualizing an Erne when some people were talking about it.

I’m new ( a week ) to pickleball and I’ve been religiously watching videos on YouTube to try and get it down cause I’m too much of a wimp to show up to the courts and ask for help. Your videos are just the best. Learning a lot but I also jist enjoy watching them. Sooo ya thanks brother 👍 ♥️

I am practicing dinking with cones and my partner and I have been so focused on hitting the cones, the ATP is "wide open". Until today. LOL

Addicted to the game. I struggle with returning hard, spinning service shots from opponents. Mostly men who love to play the crazy hard game … with very little dinking. My return tends to be too long ….

Hi new to your Chanel, thank you for the content. Ive only played once which was this week, looking at some paddles a set of 4 as we just play for fun really so nothing too expensive. Would you recommend fibre glass or carbon fibre, any tips in choosing? Thanks

We just started playing pickleball in Vietnam on Feb. 9th, 2023. I had my first ATP last Thursday March 23rd. It was so sick! The guy I played against has been playing PB in the USA for years and said I was the first person to ATP against him. He was still talking about it for hours after it happened. 🤣
