I had to give up tennis when my knees gave out. Pickleball gave me the ability to use the skills I'd learned over the years, get good aerobic exercise, helped retain my balance and hand eye coodination, and have a good time socializing with people from all walks of life.
In my experience, the average weekend tennis player wouldn't stand a chance with an experienced pickleballer, because there's more to the game than a smashing serve and volley, or a good backhand and forehand.
I see a lot more people in their 70's and 80's out on the courts playing pickleball than on the tennis court.
You can scoff at it, but it's here to stay. A lot of you will find yourself playing it someday, when through no fault of your own, you have to give up tennis.

It does feel like you're standing on a giant ping pong table. I have just started playing at the age of 70. It feels great, even with many physical ailments, to get out there and move again, while having a good time and getting some exercise. I am improving, and that's a wonderful thing. Thank you Pickleball... ❤

My buddy's neighborhood has a court right next to like 10 houses. Convenient that the older crowd that plays pickleball loves waking up at 5am to play😂
