Today I'm showcasing a few more affordable factory built homes. I have been getting lit up in the comments section of a few of my recent videos and it has come to my attention that people are interested in seeing more affordable options... Message received. Today I compare three factory built homes that are similar in size but different in almost every other way counting backwards from most expensive to most affordable. There are still some very affordable offsite constructed homes available in North America and in this video I highlight a few that I think are cool. Watch and see some cool options that are available at three very different price points.

Every budget? There certainly should be. We aren't trying to buy a ranch house. ok I give up. I tried. You just quoted 480 sq ft for 421k That is EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY SEVEN DOLLARS PER SQ FOOT. i know you have high and low here, but prices like that are literally insane. None of this is going to do anything for the housing shortage and the problem of grossly overpriced dwellings of all kinds. This is not promoting prefab and mobile homes. This is making them unfathomable. Kerry I think yoiu are a good guy and you have an eye for cool housing. I can't hang with this level tho. Rock on man.

Your side comments crack me up. Great information. Your audience is from all over so individuals have homework to do in researching the local ordinances as to what and where pre-fab homes are allowed. As always, thank you.

I live in the U.S. These small homes that are reasonable in price are still hard to zone in the U.S. I wish you would talk more about where you can put these homes.

Thanks after half a year, of watching your content and feeling like 90% of your info was overpriced tiny houses I finally found something low priced (the thrifty) that I can buy and avoid paying crazy rent prices

Really Enjoying Your Channel. You do a great job and your side notes are fun and accurate. I need to put together an ADU for my sister and parents and you've been a great resource so far. Keep up the good work. It's much appreciated.

Well of course I like the first one the best, and the other two just look like something I wouldn't want to buy, but at least can afford!

Don't beat yourself up, bud. This channel has a lot of very interesting content. I might just buy my Dad's 1970's RV and park somewhere where I won't get towed or robbed. Maybe save up a down payment or better yet, buy a cheap place out right.

What sucks is in the US only a few areas will zone for these or zone for these easily. Usually California, austin and some Texas, PNW, south west, Colorado and maybe New Hampshire are the only states that really allow these types of homes to easily be put up.

Good one Kerry ~ just hard to see anyone actually being able to get the Thrifty. But even if they did, my gut tells me it got it's name for a reason....

The issue here for me isn't that there's anything wrong with small, expensive homes. It is that there's a housing crisis for which people are looking to offsite construction to help with. But if the majority of builders, working in their own best interest, choose to make homes that rely on design and finishes as marketing tools to maximize profit, it really doesn't help the majority of people who are currently looking for a home because they need an affordable place to live.

A lot of people are looking at price per sq foot ("all in") as a metric, and as you pointed out, that isn't even shown as an option by a lot of builders? Just a quick visit to the majority of sites and getting to an actual price can be difficult. Lots of sales. Design. Finishes. Love your channel btw, this is not directed at you!

Grand Slam watching a few more videos of yours, some high end ones we dream would and wanted to be at least half the cost. But aren’t. LOL. Not your fault but in a sense would be nice to look only at what’s in cost range ! Great work as always and never a disappointment, always learning something ! Thank Kerry !
