The all new 2020 iPad Air 4th gen is here with a new iPad Pro design, but with TouchID. I share my experience after using the 2020 iPad Air as my main iPad for a couple weeks. I also edited the iPhone 12 Pro review with this iPad and show you the A14 Bionic speed.

Unfortunately, many of the new airs have backlight bleeding. Even my replacement has it. Read on forums that some are on their fourth replacement and still have backlight bleeding.

I got an iPad Pro 12.9" 2018 last year. I did find it surprising that the 2020 model basically only adds better camera/LiDAR. I recently did decide to try out the Apple Magic Keyboard over a Belkin case I've used. It is the keyboard that I'm most impressed: it does seem full sized and actually does seem easier to type on than my 2019 butterfly MacBook Pro. Having a touchpad is nice, and I do like that there's an extra USB-C charging port (so I wouldn't need an adapter with the iPad's one USB C port for charging and adapter). I'm writing in response to audio quality. This is one area I find lacking with tablets. If I'm really involved with watching videos on my iPad (without bluetooth headphones), I'll cup my hands around the speakers to get the sound to funnel more directly in front. Having speakers firing to the side just means you're not getting direct sound (at least a MacBook has speakers firing up front ). Sound is OK as is, but not having speakers that can be directed to your ears is always going to be at a disadvantage. Also, when it comes to rendering 4K video, I've found it all boils down to software support. I'm using DaVinci with my Apple setups, and also have software that doesn't seem to support Apple hardware for exporting its h.265 standards (instead, a more measly setup that has a Nvidia chipset on my PC laptop can render much quicker than my Mac setup).

Thanks for the video on the iPad Air 4th Gen (2020). I have an older iPad Air 2 but I’m currently using my iPad 7th Gen 10.2 (2019). I love the looks of the new Air and I’m really considering upgrading to it. Your video just makes it easier to love it even more!

I bought the iPad Pro 2020 12.9-inch cellular version Last month and in my opinion it is much better than the iPad Air 4 and light enough to carry around. Also has fabulous 4 speakers. The iPad Air 4 only has 2 speakers.
