What you should do is wait for Mega Tyranitar and you know it comes out purify it and have a hundo Tyranitar for the meha

I did the same but it was with Team Rocket Leader Arlo and I got an OP Shadow Beldum which I purified and it became a Hundo which I then evolved into Metagross with Bullet Punch, Meteor Mash, and Psychic, it’s my all time best Pokemon in my entire Pokemon storage, just waiting for it to be able to mega evolve!!!

Also I am one step away from having it reach level 50!!!

For those saying to purify it before maxing lvl. You might be right BUT the legend theory of mewtwo shows that maxing out first gives a higher chance to get Hundo vs not.

yeah don't purify for 2 reasons: shadow is just aesthetically pleasing ; shadow has more DPS than mega form

The damage from being a shadow is better than being a hundo unless you're transferring to home.

Although, I have a shadow hundo Ralts (Gardevoir, now)

DO NOT powered it up BEFORE purifying it folks.
Purified Pokemon cost LESS stardust to power up
than powering up a shadow.

I love how Mystic sometimes leans into the part of the community that isn't hardcore and makes less-informed content occasionally. I'm sure he powered up as shadow before potentially purifying to make the hardcore players cringe and comment 😂
