If this didn't work, you can try right clicking on the CSharp Assembly file in the right window, click on the first option "Build" and you should be done.

Thanks! All the other tutorials I found seem to have left out the part about setting visual studio to be the preferred tool and only focused on having the tool installed, when I already did. Problem is fixed!
