No. I’m not saying don’t talk to strangers.
Here is Why “Cold-Calling” is not a prospecting approach I recommend:

1. EXPECTATION.
1. The MINDSET of “cold” implies an expectation of pain…
2. You should always be warm towards people and expect their reception of you to be a warm reception. That immediately changes the activity into “warm-calling,” and that makes a huge difference.
2. EFFECTIVENESS.
1. Random (“cold”) calling is one of the least effective prospecting methods on the planet.
2. FSBOs & Expireds…that is NOT cold-calling, Because they have declared, “We want to sell!” So they are actually HOT CALLING.
3. Next is your Personal Circle…not only do they trust you…but they want to help you.
3. Not a question of what works…but a question of the most bang for the buck…and doing what will always let you be able to expect YES.

Dude... thank you. Semantics matter. Whether it's a "cold call, " "cold approach, " "cold knocking, " etc. And I'm really stoked to hear you say that it's just not the MOST efficient way to spend time now. It's intrusive, it's old school, and non-adaptive to the times. You da man Kevin, thanks for all you do.

It’s pretty effective for us! Call cell phones. We have 15% answer rate. It’s one of the best ways to feed our people farm and close deals! 25% from “random” calling. Most people trust us no problem. :)

Quick question. Why do trainers always say that your sphere of influence is the best source, most of those people don't want to move? Admittedly, I never called them thinking if would be pestering or perceived as desperation.
