You missed the fact that Bronze is the only one you have to make. Gold and Silver are elements, bronze is an alloy that required intelligence and work to acquire.

Never understood how Luna was thought to be so nutty. You got people transforming into cats, giant floating cloaks that suck out people's souls, a talking hat that can read your mind and you're telling me that she's crazy because she believes there's invisible creatures running around?

I love being a Ravenclaw 💙 🦅

I think Ravenclaws aren't good at everything they learn at school, they're good at things they're interested in!

Ravenclaws are CURIOUS. Hermione wouldn’t fit into Ravenclaw at all - Ravenclaws break rules constantly just to find out what happens. They’d be constantly blowing stuff up just to see what happens. Its not about being clever, it’s about wanting to learn.

Gryffindor: Learn to defeat evil.
Slytherin: Learn to get that job.
Hufflepuff: Learn to help your friends.
Ravenclaw: Learn.

Harry Potter, Albus Severus Potter, Newt Scamander, now we need a Ravenclaw for a protagonist

Ravenclaw is the most underrated house. All of the other houses has main characters (Harry has his own movie. Draco, Snape and Voldemort are huge plot points. And Newt has a whole movie. Yes, we have many great characters in Ravenclaw, but none of them are really main plot points.)

Ravenclaws are truly the most underrated house

Ravenclaws are the house most likely to accept people who are strange or who are open-minded, but who can surprise you with how insightful some of their more outlandish sounding ideas are. When I was growing up, I identified so much with Luna, as she showed me that's it's alright to be a little odd, and not everyone sees the world the same way.
Luna thinks with ideas and possibilities, all things that Ravenclaws pride themselves on, and is just as intelligent as Hermione, who fixates more on logic and common sense. I'd encourage everyone to think like Luna, and unleash their creative minds! 💙🐦

I always identified with the ravenclaw house but every time I talked to my friends about it they always told me that I wasn‘t because my grades were not very good. It made me feel terrible. Because what I loved about the house wasn’t their academic intelligence but the way they see the world. They were not afraid to think outside of the box and take things into consideration that others would not even think about because of their weirdness. They see the life and movement in the world and just want to explore.

Hate me but here’s why hermione is not a ravenclaw but Luna is:

Hermione is book smart and has a very high IQ which allows for her to store a superb amount of information in her brain. She however is pretty stubborn, rigid and can’t think outside of what she’s been given via books and doesn’t question what she’s learned. If her knowledge is challenged then she feels angry (due to her low temper) that someone thinks they are right compared to her, rather than becoming curious about pursuing truth and thinking of all the viewpoints and arguments of a topic.

Luna is naturally imaginative, curious, philosophical and open-minded without relying on information given from other people and textbooks. She basically generates her own ideas through observing the world. People with this type of intelligence tend to be eccentric and seen as an oddball, although they may invent radical inventions and think of revolutionary ideas. They also can come off aloof and detached and often function solo more often than in packs of followers or leaders, which is reflected in the symbol of the eagle, which is a solo animal. This is what many don’t like about them, since they don’t abide by the status quo and happily do their own thing.

I always liked to think of Ravenclaw as the scientific house, as in exploring, inventing, thinking outside the box and breaking new ground. It's not only book-smarts and studying, far from it. If there is something that catches your attention or an idea you just have to follow, homework can go screw itself.

It's very intriguing how the symbols and motifs of each of the houses worked out.

Gryffindor's element is fire and those from Gryffindor are often those who are fueled with a desire or a goal, and this side of them often allows them to become either a beacon of light (harry potter, dumbledore, the marauders) or a devastating fire (peter pettigrew, dumbledore, the marauders). Gryffindors are also known as lions, and like lions they have great strength (physical, magical, mental etc) in them, and while they may be able to work fine alone, they are more powerful together both in a good way and a bad (the golden trio vs the marauders). The red and gold of their house represents their passion and heart of gold, but at the same time it represents their blind frenzy due to their passion, the blood they may or may not spill, and impracticality.

Slytherin's element is water, and as such they are the opposite in almost every way from Gryffindors, apart from their obvious impact on the world. (fire and water are the two most obviously impactful elements) Rather than relying on fiery emotions and passion, they rely on cool ration and calculation.Their way of method is more subtle and thus often requires time to take effect but are undeniably successful one way or another (snape, voldemort, regulus black). Like their symbol snakes/serpents, Slytherins are brutal and ruthless and are naturally soloists. However, due to them being very similar to one another they often end up working together for their goals and when done well they prove to be a force to be reckoned with. (have you seen snakes attacking a single opponent together? it's horrifically incredible and they're not even necessarily working as a team) Despite this, they do have a loving side to them which they show only to their closest, as water is an element that feed life and love. Their green and silver represents their wealth (money, the greens of nature) and social class (silver spoon), but it also represent their envy, greed, and tendency for corruption.

Hufflepuff's element is earth, and like the earth they surely do contribute but are underappreciated. They often end up providing the fundamentals of things, such as upholding and fixing the law (hufflepuffs are the most who work in the ministry, susan bones and amelia bones were the ones who gave harry the chance of proving himself not guilty & skilled), making discoveries and writing a textbook for future generations to learn (newt!!), providing delicious and hearty meals for everyone (helga hufflepuff's contribution), or allowing someone to grow (cedric). Like their symbol the badger, Hufflepuffs are hardworking, friendly unless provoked, and protective of those they deem to be close (cedric protecting harry, newt and pickett, ernie & hannah about The yellow and black represents their fairness, sunny disposition and perseverance, but also their naivety and unreasonable stubbornness.

Ravenclaw's element is air, and very much like their element Ravenclaws are inconspicuous most of the time. Their expertise and crafts has influenced many's life in the grand spectrum but not many exactly notice their influence and presence (ollivander's wands, trelawney's prophecies, luna's perception, cho's emotional intelligence), and Ravenclaws tend to not care whether they get noticed or not, nor do they care if they are seen strange in the eyes of others. Like the eagles, they strive high for what they want and what they see as the truth, and if they see their chance they do not let it out of their claws, and there is a certain charm and dignity to this (cho, luna, xenophilius, ollivander). The blue and bronze represents the openness and clarity of their mind, flexibility, and widespread influence (bronze was/is used industrially and artistically), but it also means that they can be aloof, misfits, and unfocused.

I was reading Flitwick's wiki, and I found out he's half-goblin. This adds a whole new dimension of irritation when Umbridge measures him. Not only is it just insulting, but she has no love of half-breeds, so you can imagine all the frustrating implications that Flitwick can draw from her including his height in her report (say as evidence of his goblin heritage and thus unfit to teach...).

But on a happier note as a Ravenclaw myself, I would love Flitwick as my head of house. He's laid-back, extremely qualified, fights against Voldemort, and really cares about student success. Iconic.
