Followed your recepy and added my own twist to it. I didn;t use alcohol but added a small cubes of smoked bacon instead. it was delicious! For someone who is not into peppers and tomato sauce you can do very tasty food if you just roast smoked bacon and add sour cream on top when serving. It's another way how to eat Gnocchi and also super delish. Thanks for recepy though. I was always only boiling gnocchi didn't realise that if you roast them in butter they will taste better and won't stick! Nice.

Thank you chef Tom for all your recipes! You demonstrate great skill, knowledge and respect for the food. I also enjoy how clear your explanations are and when I replicate your recipes at home the results are always above my expectations.
Just a tip: I am italian and gnocchi is not pronounced "knee-oki" but the first gn sound is like Ñ in spanish. I hope this was helpful

I've used a simliar smoked potato technique to make a smokey cold potato salad. It was a nice subtle flavor to really mix up the side dish.

Just tried this, my first time making gnocchi and it came out a little doughy. Otherwise delicious. What did I do wrong? I boiled them until they floated. Should I have given them longer?
