** This is a song I first heard back in middle school. I was really expanding my musical horizons by listening to iheart radio, rather than the FM radio I had with my boombox. I found tons of new music this way (like a lot of sting's solo stuff, stevie wonder, misfits, type o negative, you name it, Steve Perry). I loved this one and actually bought it on iTunes for $1.29. I even tried to learn it on guitar. Remember, that this was back when I couldn't even use a pick and didn't know anything about guitar except that it had frets and I could play something that sounded like iron man on it. Well, I wanted to play this a couple years ago, but when I switched computers, I forgot about it (like I did with a lot of songs). I didn't transfer any of my old tabs to the new one since I had a terrible organization system. I figured I could start fresh on the new pc and keep it organized (and I do!). Well, I started bringing over those old tabs, and found this one. It was really bad, so I've fixed it up and it's ready to go.
As far as the tabbing goes, it was a bit tricky, but not as bad as some others. The bass plays basically the root of the chord in every bar, however the rhythm is hard to hear because the bass is hard to hear in some spots. Looking at the Ed Sullivan show performance (the only live one I trust), The bassist, Chas Chandler, used a pick and you could see his rhythm on occasion, but it would usually last well for that section.
0:04 - plays at the very beginning, with a pick
0:47 - plays a lot of 8th notes that you don't hear on the track the first time. That's because they shortened it for the live show, so this is right before the solo.
1:49 - oh mother - back to held notes for the full bar
2:53 - same, and then tremolo the last note
Thanks for watching! Enjoy :)
