I love the cladding. I don’t want painted surfaces where rocks and debris can be kicked up.

I suppose it's really a matter of taste, the more I'm around my 2024 Kona limited, the more I like the way it looks. I actually really like the cladding, for starters, it doesn't look like every other vehicle in this class seriously they all look the same to me. I like the fact that the cladding and the unique design of the vehicle set it apart. Hyundai pushed the envelope on this one and like I said I enjoy that. The 1.6 In sport mode is more than capable of moving rapidly from point A to point B, had I wanted sports car, I would've bought a sports car.

I sat inside a Kona Limited and a Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid. I'm sold on getting a 3rd Kona (driving a 2022 Limited now, and had a 2019 Limited before that). The Corolla Cross Hybrid is just lacking any "oomph" in their interior layout, as well as lacking a spare tire. I think the lighter colored Kona paint makes the cladding stand out more. I'm looking at getting a red Kona (not sure what color interior yet) so the dark color will help the cladding blend into the car more.

The plastic cladding is (for me) not too off-putting. I got over that when I bought a 2003 Honda Element EX. I love the interior!

Have ordered a Kona Hybrid (UK) N-Line S Luxury with Auto park etc. in Denim Blue. Agree I don't like the cladding in the grey, hence I ordered the N-Line. Looked at the HRV but older fashioned inside compared to the Kona and with a lot less equipment and gadgets, plus the Kona Hybrid gets 60+ MPG.

My n line doesn’t have the 360 cam, the ambient lighting or the cooler seats.. wtf.. and it’s 10k more than the base model

The standard motor doesn’t perform very well when you need to get rolling in a hurry.
Outside of that, it’s a pretty nice vehicle.

The reason this is the car of the yr despite your dislikes, which I appreciate honesty wise. Is that compact suvs and suv have skyrocketed in price due to greed and demand. And this is the only well priced one. Who needs a turbo compact suv. All people need is AWD and the tech snd safety features. So it wasn't fair when you complained about its turbo trim price. Who cares

Plus idk why on earth a Honda crv is so expensive. They made the crv so big its as big as a pilot stance wise (maybe nit inside). But that size increase doesn't justify the price. And the Honda hrv is absolute garbage and so overpriced for how garbage it is
