What exactly is unbearable about the parents' reaction? They don't exhibit grief in any way, at best they look momentarily confused, but as soon as they come to terms with the fact that their babies are gone they will start preparing for the next brood, as per their biological programming. In a few days' time they probably won't even remember that they were ever parents to begin with. We have to stop projecting human qualities to animals just because we want them to feel like we do - infant mortality is so high in nature that most animal parents would probably die from grief if their feelings were even remotely similar to those of humans, it's simply nature's way of making sure that the circle of life goes on.

To those wondering here, after they got this video, they went looking for the other 2 chicks. Chick #2 may have also been found by the snake since when it goes to ground, you hear more screeching and struggling (impossible to say since the body wasn't found and snakes don't leave bodies behind). Chick #3 died of exposure, starvation, or killed by an aggressive non predator because they found their body on the ground.

Acredito que a cobra tenha apanhado tambem os que saltaram na hora do ataque, pois ela desceu para procurar por eles e eles não responderam ao chamado dos pais.
