Batman: Gotham City Strategy Game (Wow, long title!)
I bought this game for $30 at Barnes & Noble. I’ve only played it a few times, but I really like it. The stand up barriers walk you through each turn and the instruction manual in general is very thorough. Players use cards that have two different actions, so it was kinda cool to figure out what was the best order to play those cards in order to maximize your gains.

Critical Mass is freakin' awesome. It just needs more expansions. I'm surprised there aren't fans releasing Gundam, Macross, etc expansions for it. It just needs more giant robots!

Erasures as components never caught on because people eat them that is a hot take

"Gettysburg: Badges of Courage" is from Columbia Games who published many block style war games primarily for 2p. The block style war game has the advantage of creating a "hidden information" element to the game that many other style war games lack. The most popular (IMO) of this style from this publisher is "Hammer of the Scots" and is definitely the one to pickup if this style of game interests you though as it has fewer blocks on the board and is more approachable.

Title Bout is one I played a bunch when I was young.

Napoleon's Battles is one of the best Napoleonics miniatures games. That said, there are people who really hate it because its paradigm is different from that of the other popular games on the same period available at the time it was published.

I just can’t get rid of lattice Hawaii. It is kind of middling, but I just like it. Good game. Solid 7/10.

Honestly Critical Mass is the only Dice Tower Essential I actually like.

You passed over Sorcery Contested Realm. Zee or Roy might like that one. It's an interesting CCG.

I like Animal Upon Animal Small and Great! I have two copies so er can play with 4.

Trickster Champions of Time is an interesting trick-taking game with set collection and color majority? Each number has a power and there are 7 colors. And the person leads but the second person decides trump or something…It needs to be played by the same people multiple times and for us it was more complicated than what we want. Also, it needs more than 3 for a full game I think. I’d rather play The Crew or Cat in the Box.

I liked Birds of a Feather. Easy, breezy set collection. Everyone plays a card, but the played cards stick around for the next round and if the suit of the next card you play matches any of the previously played cards by others you can collect them too. The suits are different biomes and each biome has different birds.

The only games I played on this list are the Munchkin ones.

Our group likes The Number pretty well. We pull it out every once in a while. It's a good filler game.

I thought Critical Mass was great. I was very sorry that we never got anymore mechs for it. Sadly, I haven't had that much chance to play it as I have trouble getting two player games into the play on gaming night.
