How to use the Exhaust 'Jake' Brake

Показать описание
The exhaust (or Jake) brake uses the engine to slow the coach. When approaching a stop light, highway exit, turn, or slowed traffic, flip the Exhaust Brake switch "Up" to the "On" position. You will notice engine RPM jump up as the engine's driveline is used to slow you down. This helps reduce the amount of braking necessary and reduces premature brake wear. Turn the Exhaust Brake "off" when you've slowed to a suitable speed. Don't leave the Exhaust Brake "On" all the time as it will automatically come on any time you take your foot of the accelerator pedal.
