anyway, thanks for watching!

For people looking to becoming a product manager, Chloe's experience is very American/Silicon Valley-centric. Many PM roles won't have the same level of variety, hectic schedule or pressure. It's highly dependent on the company, industry and region you work in. Do your research on the specific role you're applying for.

The money is for real life changing....it's bonkers. I paid off my student debt, one random Monday, because all of a sudden I could. I paid for our wedding without saving for it. Absolutely life changing.

They say the perfect message is not when there is nothing more to add but nothing more to take away. This was fabulously communicated. Looking forward to future videos.

This is the best summary of what a PM does. I’m also a Pm and relate 100%! 🎉Thank you for being so real and honest, sometimes people glamorise this job way too much 😅

Being a product manager for over 2 years, I can relate with all the pain behind that gorgeous smile of yours! Your summary is spot on!

You’re a gem. This is a great video. I’m a change manager who work on a lot of projects to support PMs, you did a great job of explaining the reality, chaos and sometime shit-show of being a PM.

PM checking in - solid content I fully agree. I hope pm becomes a role where people can have children and personal lives. Some pm friends struggle with this some don't. Really depends on the company and team size as you said! Keep the content flowing!

Another awesome video, Chloe! Great flow, storytelling, delivery, editing, and all the little details are just so satisfying to watch!! It's inspiring how you're able to balance such a demanding career with content creation. . . and admirable that you love the pain haha

I’m not remotely interested in becoming a PM but wanted to understand what they do (since I work with them) and this was the perfect video! 🎉❤ Loved this Chlo!

Product Managers can come from everywhere, inventors, designers, engineers and my favorite entrepreneurs. I went from business development and acted as a product manager to get more sales in a manufacturing company, I learnt engineering and become VP of innovation of our group. Then president and make $400K a year at 34. Just focus on the needs and deep very very deep into why you're making the solution and then focus on your unique positioning.

Your content is always so invaluable Chloe and especially resonates with me as an aspiring PM/fellow Asian immigrant woman! Thanks for being an inspiration!

As a new PM myself, I find your educational content really helpful. It has helped me navigate and understand the PM role. Thanks Chloe for all this information. I am really grateful to you! Love from India

1:44 Threads being launched = product
Voice memos on hinge = feature or a feature set

If you are a new or aspirational product manager, knowing the difference is crucial to managing your expectations from a role. In the above example, you need a strong grasp of gtm (go to market) for threads, not so much for the Voice memo.

Great explainer. Like a friend talking to you at a pub about what it’s really like. 8 years experience and there’s not a thing I’d disagree with.

As someone who's so happy that my PM made a firm decision and supported my recommendations in a meeting this morning (working in product support/ops) this video is so timely! This was a great explanation! :)

I don't think I've ever commented on a video before but this makes me a little nervous to go back to a new PM role after having a baby. I'm hopeful my time away has made me a ruthless prioritizer and I'm certain I can handle stess 💯 better than before. Literal screaming helps with that. Here's to the mom PMs 🎉
