I modded my 3DS a bit over a week ago, and I've sorta been addicted ever since. It's basically my go-to for when I don't feel like working

For anyone who plans to mod their 3DS: check if it’s NOT updated to the latest update (Ver. 11.17.0-50U) Nintendo released an update on May 22, 2023 that prevents 3DS from being modded. If it is updated, don’t try modding it as it may damage the system. If it’s NOT updated, you can mod it.

And those who have a modded 3DS: don’t update your system unless you have downloaded the latest update of Luma3DS, otherwise your system will be bricked with out it.

For anyone wondering why you would download these games if you already own them the main reasons I can think of are
1: going on vacation or just traveling and you don’t want to pack a bunch of games that take up more room in your luggage
2: no need to go through all your games to find the ones you want
3: it’s just more convenient

It’s technically not illegal since they now closed the e shop and either way Nintendo won’t get money if you download the games or not.
