I bought all 104 'New' Nintendo 3DS Games

You may be aware of the 4 physical New Nintendo 3DS games, and probably the 30 SNES games that only work on this handheld. But did you know there's 70 other games that ONLY work on New Nintendo 3DS? I didn't until this year, so I played all of those games lmao

The reason there's so many New 3DS shovelware is because, unlike the old 3DS, the New 3DS has Unity support, so the barrier of entry to actually make a "functional" game is lower.

If there's a New 3DS game that could run on an old 3DS with proper optimization, then it's probably made in Unity.

IIRC, the reason why there are so many N3DS "exclusive" games is because Nintendo added Unity support for the N3DS when it released. You could even download the SDK fairly easily from Nintendo themselves back in the day.

I really miss the 3DS Era I swear I won’t forget the first game that I played on that handheld, it was Super Mario 3D Land and I still have the old 3DS XL and the New Nintendo 3DS to this day

For clarity, the reason these games on "new" 3DS Only is because (I assume) they were made with Unity using the N3DS Packages. Unity supported "new" 3DS as a platform so that's why the game banners are all square to fit within the res of the banners, and why the game main menu smaple beeps like that. It's because they didn't implament their own sample. . I would know since I'm working on porting Baldi's Basics Classic to the "new" 3DS as we speak. But that's not to say that they couldn't run on Old 3DS. Fan made FNaF ports were made using Unity for N3DS and they also run on Old 3DS.

The guy who made Silver Falls is actually releasing more WiiU and 3DS games this year before the eShop closure, and just released a new 3DS game relatively recently. He is absolutely dedicated to his craft and somewhat insane, though he obviously puts a lot of love into his projects. I recommend supporting him if you like odd, experimental, janky lil games.

Fun fact: The reason most of these are new 3ds only because most game engines for 3ds games now like unity only can be used on new 3ds so its not because it needs the better processor

When it comes to the retail-available games, they absolutely need to be on N3DS, with the only exception being Runbow.
But most if not all of the digital games would run perfectly fine on O3DS.
