I stock piled last Nov/Dec over the imaginary shortage. I would now rec'm spending every spare penny/dollar you have on getting food, canned goods and forgetting the thought of having thousands of rounds of ammo you may never need. They say, if you plan to barter ammo your gonna get yourself killed. The one friendly person you trade with, will come back with 10 or 20 of his friends and take everything you have. Having some ammo is a good idea, but having enough food for when its almost gone or completely unafordable is a better one.

During the global crisis of 2020 and ammo was going extinct, I stocked up on what was easily readable on Walmart shelves, 22lr, 22M, .308 and 12 ga.... then I go to Academy and buy only.40s since that was about all there was. THEN, I start buying the guns

If i had the cash i would stock pile 22lr in the millions of rounds, but I'm just surviving on a day-to-day basis now.

I remember when .357mag was impossible to find. Now it’s everywhere! I have a revolver and a lever rifle that I hunt with and I have been stocking up! Around 2021 traded my .243 off because I could not find ammo for it and now it’s stacked up on the shelves.

When I find odd/ older caliber ammo I get some even if I don't have a fire arm for it, not a lot just a box or two.
