My child is is 36 and just unbelievable disrespectful. I did what God told me to do. I lead her to him, she was a Sunday school teacher and not thru force, she went to private school and I worked 2 jobs to ensure she was getting a great education did well the minute she started college she did one year because those no good cousins and friends was in her ear. I tried and tried. Even some of those no good Aunties was in her ear. It was so much to deal with. Then drinking and drugs and now none of them want to have nothing to do with her she's back at home and miserable. She's honorary and mean and I can't lie to you I can't stand being around her. I gave her to God I'm 64 and I just want peace.

So true. Thank you. I raised three girls. They are 32, 30, 26. The 32 and 26 have more respect for people in the streets than me, their own mother. Every thing I say to them about the things I live, I am threatening them in their heads. I fix a holiday dinner the 26 bypass my house and was living in my house and go too her friend's. They both collectively have disrespected with their tongue so bad that if words could kill I would be dead. Sad but true we are now estranged from each other. I pray for them daily. My peace is important. I love them, however I love myself more.

These disrespectful kids will have kids more wicked than themselves because these are the Last Days.

He right I had to learn hard way when I was teen being wild and out control and with addiction. Lord change me 9 years ago and mother never gave on me. She always believe I would change. I always do more for my mother because she did for me even I when I lost my way and acting a fool. I am thankful that she still here.

Speaking from experience and the truth. Being respectful carries you a long way in life.

I’ll be honest, I’ve been extremely disrespectful to my parents, grandfather, and elders. I feel horrible about all of things I’ve said and done. I’m definitely going to apologize to my parents and tell them that I am really sorry for giving them a hard time. I want to make myself a better person and not be the same as I have been for the past 17 years out of the 26 years I’ve been alive so far.

Mr. Smiley,
I am 72 yrs old single parent who went through hell to get my child through college. I agree with everything you said. My child was ungrateful
and today with all that he has he treats me like I don't exist or like I never did anything for him. You are telling the truth.
Thank you for telling the truth.

I lost my mama this past November. I didn’t even get to say goodbye due to COVID regulations. She died alone. I wouldn’t wish my broken heart on nobody. I would give anything to have her back, and I’m 45 years old.

This right here! You are preaching today. Sometimes it's not the parents who die. It's the children

My mom is my best friend, I would never fix my mouth to disrespect her. I'm 52yrs old and I still say ma'am to my mom. Kids today act entitled and don't realize or care about all the sacrifices they made to raise you. If anything happens to my mom, I'm as good as gone ( mentally) but praise 👏 God I can say that I honored her and gave her flowers while she could see and smell them🙏 Parents aren't perfect ( no one is) and sometimes they can do some despicable things but they're still your parents and God will bless YOU if you faint not in well doing.

Rickey always comes through with a meaningful message. For the parents, it is NOT going to kill you to tell these children NO sometimes. They need to hear NO, so they'll know how to act in life.

This is so true!!! I would do anything to hear my mom fuss at me. She passed due to cancer and wasn't always the daughter I should've been. She was that everyday ride or die chick and I will forever be heartbroken

I have tears. My twins father was killed when they were small children and I’ve been that single parent. They have been so disrespectful...so I get it. Thanks Rickey once again for the gems

You have no idea how I have needed to hear this. My 17 year old daughter, whom we've done everything in live for, just moved out of my house today. My heart is shattered in to a million pieces.

Wish I found this timely message 2 years ago, but it was very helpful and I'm grateful to have heard it, thank God and many blessings

This is exactly what I needed to hear right now, thank you so much for putting this out! I’m sending it to my disrespectful 12-year-old. I’ve been a single mother for almost 10 years, my wonderful mother is helping me raise him & like you said, he has everything he needs and damn near everything he wants. The disrespect train stops now. I really think he’ll connect to this video. Sending it to him now & hopefully that’ll open up a conversation. Thanks again, really great stuff. 😊

I’m a teen myself and just wanted to say I’ve never looked at it like that. Looks like I should start acting right.

...and it’s not always promised parents will have their children. I’ve seen several parents lose their children and guilt consume them because they were horrible parents.
