In this episode, Cam Jones from Goal Guys finds out why we're wired to believe conspiracy theories - and how to help someone that has gone down a rabbit hole of misinformation.

This video is part of a new series called "Cognitive Dissonance” that explores (and sometimes debunks) the way we think - and breaks down our misconceptions about our own misconceptions.

Honestly, I think conspiracy theories flourish because want a target for their grief and have difficulty accepting that bad things happen with no meaning behind them.

I'm often finding a history of trauma and social ineptness with conspiracy theorists. Anybody else?

Staying connected at a human level is not helping. Once they're trapped in the conspiracy loop, it feels like there's no salvation 😢

Is all Freethinkers a conspiracy theorist ? Since all don’t think
the same, or come to same
Conclusion? Is Freedom of expression violated. When
There’s a disagreement.
We can express our opinion
on a certain event as long as
we don’t push our belief mindset on them? If Freedom of expression is welcomed
Then why should a conspiracy
Theorist be put in a bad light
If he’s expressing his freewill
and Opinions. Not all mindsets
Think the same, should we target each other, because of
Disagreements Or can we respect each other’s belief mindset. Without be judgmental

Pretty sure an inability to think critically has a lot to do with buying into conspiracy theories.
