It's an embarrassment for Putin for sure, internationally if not domestically in Russia.

All for affect. Russia doesn't care about that area. I would say that this is more of a "fade".

It’s over guys! Russia said they’re done! They said uncle! So glad Putin put his ego to the side and was able to accept this massive, huge defeat.

In the nuclear age, a revolution inside Russia is the worst possible scenario. The West’s strategy is to give Ukraine sufficient resources to keep their military in the fight until Russia’s military resources are weak enough to cease offensive operations. Eventually, the war will end through negotiations. It is pointless for Ukraine to reclaim the Donbas or Crimea, as since 2014 these areas have seen an emigration of ethnic Ukrainians and have a vast majority of ethnic Russians. As Russian combat power weakens, Ukrainian will undertake a final offensive and strike towards the Crimean border. This will force Russia to initiate negations by putting their nuclear card on the table. Negotiations will be supported by the West and Russia will keep the Donbas and a demilitarized Crimea. Ukraine will join NATO, and the presence of NATO troops will prevent another war. Internal Russian politics will see Putin replaced. Putin is likely to live out his retirement under some form of house arrest in comfort. He will never leave Russia.

What no one is talking about is the agriculture aspect of this Ukrainian incursion. This area feeds Russia due to the black dirt. I believe this will cause a massive food shortage for Russia in the near future.

Ukraine has had and have a brilliant plan to bring Russia to its knees. First they started taking russian oil offline, and gas. This has hit russia hard. Western coutries contribute with harsh sanctions. Whats the next step. What is most important and will affect inflation and economy very hard even if its a small part of the economy? U hit food production! Kursk and Belgorod o last are the main russian wheat, crops and livestock producers in russia. Ukraine has recognised that and now taken both Oblasts offline just around harvest time. Brilliant strategy! This drives the inflation upp hard and what happens is that foodprices will rise fast. It wont hit the rich, but hit hard on ordinary people, even in Moscow, St Petersburg. This will cause unrest and internal problems in russia.
This isnt a raid or something small Ukraine does. Is delibarate tactic to try bring the downfall of Putins regime and even great civil unrest around in russia.
Ukraine has propobly planned this for long time and its a brilliant plan, and executed brilliantly!
