I tightened my tension mob all the way and then I put the brake at three and it casts a lot better than having it at seven

Im a beginner and i backlashed more with more breaks i turned my brakes down to 1 and didn't backlash

thank you for telling me im getting my first baitcaster it is the ugly stik baitcaster because i like theire rods the reel is good quality and its preetty cheap and backlashing sucks so thi shelps a lot

Step one get a spinning reel step two thtow baitcaster away step three enjoy no more birdnest/edit i had a bait caster and i was good but s many baclash and less time spent fishing
