In Starfield it can be hard to know where to store resources, so in this resources guide we'll explain what's best to do. You may wonder where is the best place to store resources in Starfield and search far and wide for an answer, but truthfully the simplest option is right underneath you. Literally. All you need to do to store resources effectively in Starfield is to drop everything at your feet, like shown in this Starfield guide.

In all honesty. This does not help at all.

I wish we had infinite storage just in one container like in skyrim or fallout. This game is just full of resource management when i could be using that time to actually play.

Here is my problem, I'm 80 hours in I have a 6000 cargo ship and its FULL of my resources.. I need a way to move 6000 tons of loot somewhere? and at the same time make it so I can use it when I need it.. I think i'm going to have to build an outpost just for storage because I started with the "dream home" perk and there isn't enough room to store it there either.. why can't I just build the safe from the lodge in my home.. sometimes I grow to hate games.

LOL, I love how the second recommendation was an episode of "Hoarders". Yep, sounds like a Bethesda title

In all honesty. This game is trash for not giving us the option to store necessary resources at a work bench. Fallout 4 is literally better in almost every way

Hell yeah! A bunch of loose resources all over the floor. I love all the problems this creates. GREAT TIP!

I wish i understood bundling better when i drop a large quantity of a particular resource but With being able to decorate ur ship interior u can actually do this without a mess. In the decoration tab there exists a blue bin. Its not something u can interact with like a storage container but thats why its so good. Throw ur resources in the open bin. It will fit 3 large ore chunks per bin. The type of ore should be bundled so you have 1 object worth x quantity. It takes 8 bins to hold every type of ore in the game. 1 bin to hold every gas and liquid combined. U can avoid building a cargo hold now. I will use a 1x1 companionway and line it with bins. All my ore will fit using this method in the 1x1. I will use a different 1x1 for every other resource. The only downside is it wont be available to use in crafting until you retrieve it from the bin

The best way is to store resources in "storage - solid, gas, liquid" at your outpost. Those containers link to your crafting. Whenever you need to craft, just go to that outpost. Use cargo links to send resources from other outposts to containers at that outpost.

I wish the game told us which type of crafting the resources are used for. I had to build a bunch or storage cheets abs I alphabetized the resources to the boxes

Either have to store 8k kg on my ship which makes it slow but then I have everything easily accessible, or I have to store it somewhere else and have to travel to it every time I want to craft, just moronic

This didn't help, I was looking for a way to store my stuff at outposts, but every single video is about factories.

If you just drop stuff on the ground in your ship, does it cost toward weight, or is it near limitless?

This doesnt work well even the armory ona ship is dumb. Spend time putting anything on display or in boxes or on the floor in a ship then do one upgrade to it and everything gets put into storage? WTF is up with that

I store all of my resources at the Lodge in the infinite storage in the basement.

I have a question, does leaving a lot of materials on the floor affect the performance of the game?

Sorry, this is useless information. Not helpful.
