I have Beryllium, Aluminum, Helium-3, Alkanes, Iron and Water all in one outpost on Linnaeus IV-b in the Linnaeus system. I did it after doing exactly what this guy is talking about in regards to "split biomes". Took me around 45 minutes to an hour to finally get all those resources in the range of my outpost relay after loading and saving a bunch of time to procedurally generate new maps. Happy wandering around biomes, takes some patience. 7:13

Quick tip: in each resource field put one container in the center of the field and connect the extractors to it then connect that one’s output to the stacks of containers.

That way you can repoint the entire resource fields output by changing the one box and its easier to see what’s going because you don’t have tons of redlines everywhere.

Turrets are not just for animals, I started my first outpost on andraphon and once i got going a ship landed close by, I ignored it as this often happens wherever i go but 5mins later 6-8 pirate npcs came in and started shooting at my extractors etc...

19:30 if you sre in first person mode when building, if you swap what you want to build to something else then back, it will straighten the placement out for you so you dont have to awkwardly keep rotating placements.

You can also put the airlock right up against the landing pad and then raise it up to the level of the pad and then you can run right from your ship to the hab without traversing stairs.

Best video I’ve seen yet. I’ve been pretty confused but decided to wait until I went to ng+ to begin this. Need to allocate some skills but now it makes sense with the cargo links, thank you for your time put in to be able to share accurate information!! Appreciated

This is the one, this is the video everyone should see. The others are cool as we are watching you figure it out (while we play other parts of the game) but this one gives me a REALLY good understanding of how outposts work. Thanks, much appreciated!

Your outpost guide videos are top notch. From how you speak throughout the video with each step, to how your videos are structured. I’ve watched dozens of other videos and channels to get a better understanding of outposts; Your videos reign supreme. Awesome content.

Dude. This is the best tutorial video I’ve ever seen. You’re explanations and overall you’re way of speaking is excellent. Top Notch.

THANK you so much for this, I was fuzzy on the cargo link systems and didn't want to spend time and resources figuring it out right now and just been doing other stuff. Now I'm gonna move on to outposts :)

If you go to modify mode (the one were you can connect stuff) you can also edit some habitats walls for example you can put more windows. You walk to a wall, if it's editable it will highlight. It's the same button you use for putting staff in build mode.

Actually many habitats have windows but not by default.

All the other outpost building videos I watched quickly gloss over how to set up cargo links. This was an excellent video. Thank you for taking the time to make it.

Dude. This is SUCH A BETTER VIDEO! The one you made yesterday was a confusing mess. Thank you so much for explaining how it all works. You went too fast before lol I really appreciate your videos, it’s gotten me far in the game with your vids. Keep them coming!

For better rotating when trying to snap or just align things just right you can turn it down so you have more rotations. It is in the outpost settings.

at roughly 4:15, the blueish-grey area is the mountains while the reddish one is the crater's biom. Yes, it is confusing as under "normal" circumstances red would indicate a rusty area which usually means iron must be there, but this game has a different logic
