When I do layup I go fast and once I get closer to the hoop I slow down and do a nice slow jump and I always make it

Something that helped me a lot that a lot of people don’t do is just to jump, not necessarily really high, just jump so the margin for error and amount of force in your arms is slimmer

Another tip is to try to hit the backboard. It works 100% of the time unless you used less/too much power
