I posted shorts and actually, one of them took off last year and my small channel grew from 2, 200 subs to a whopping 75k in 10 days! The rain of new subs stopped at 95k and has long stopped, and is dwindling downwards. The revenue...mmm, not so encouraging yet... but still better than nothing. I'll keep trying...

I don’t seem to have that ability—YouTube just chooses a frame from the short itself that often has text present

I started only three days ago and two of my shorts have over 1k views but others are still stuck at 300-800, and my subscribers haven't gone up tha much, but still it's better than nothing

Any suggestions what might be happening if your shorts are doing better and better over time with frequent 1k views and more and all of a sudden the views drop dramatically and don't grow anymore, even though nothing big has changed at the time? (I am already trying new tactics out right now to get traction again - so far no luck...). But truly can't explain why all of a sudden the views dropped - except a strong suspicion something has changed in the algorithm at that time bc I heard a LOT of small channels see the exact same drop in views at the exact same moment in time...

Shorts are hit or miss, try to have at least 4 hashtags in the title and a fairly good description so the algorithm knows who to push the short to, else views will be low

I posted more than 90 shorts in past 3 months, I posted 1 shorts per day but no growth .
