I'm French and I started to study russian in February and I watched this one with russian subtitles once, I don't understand all but I understand what you are talking about (general subjects). You should talk about your first experience(s) coming to America. What you did to prepare, the contrast in culture and society between Russia and America, the biggest/memorable mistake(s) you made (if any mistake was made) when coming to America and how that has helped you or harmed you in the long run. I know you spoke breifly about coming to America with another female Russian student in a previous video. I think it would be cool to hear more about your expereinces and what you've observed/expereinced while being in America.

Я люблю Русский Язык, and I got Rosetta Stone to try to learn, but I think I am going at too slow a pace, because I try to not move forward, until I can say the words exactly like the recorded voices on the program. Could I go faster and not worry about that, because different speakers in the program enunciate the same words differently? I would like to (hopefully) become fluent as soon as I can, and seeing as you are an excellent teacher and speaker, maybe you could tell me what you think the best thing would be for me to do. If it helps, I began learning Русский Язык under a month ago, and I have about seven hours each day (in summer) to study Russian, so would my time be more beneficially spent by moving forward and not obsessing over exact duplication of pronunciation? I am hoping to finish Rosetta Stone by the end of summer. Спасибо, пока пока!

For some reason I don't know the difference between "тогда" and "потом". They both translate to "then". What's the difference?

Здравстуйте друзя! I was wondering, could AnyOne tell me the difference between the words проплыла (В прошлый вторник я проплыла один километр.) and плавала (Я плавала.)? What distinguishes one from the other, because they both talk about swimming in the past tense? I would really appreciate any help. Пока пока!
