You mentioned only comedies and not modern Russian movies, but Soviet. Thanks for the video. Your pronunciation is very clear. I understood about 80% of what you said. I got tripped up on the English meaning of a few words, so I listened a second time with English subtitles. :) Всё понятно!

Thanks! Russian movies are what got me interested in learning a bit of Russian, so I enjoy what you say about them. But my skills are still such that I didn't understand everything you said, so will now go back and try the English subtitles.

I am feeling so discouraged that even after studying on my own for about 3 years, I still cannot understand this slow Russian. I am not going to give up, but this really makes me feel that it's unlikely that I will ever be fluent.

I found a fairly new Russian movies that turned out to be very good..like : Неадекватные Люди, А зори здесь тихие, Завтрак у папы, Сталинград and Экипаж...these are highly recommended to watch.
