LIVE: California’s Largest Wildfire Erupts Into Inferno as Catastrophic Fires Ravage the U.S. West

California's largest active fire exploded in size on Friday evening, growing rapidly amid bone-dry fuel and threatening thousands of homes as firefighters scrambled to meet the danger. The Park Fire's intensity and dramatic spread led fire officials to make unwelcome comparisons to the monstrous Camp Fire, which burned out of control in nearby Paradise in 2018, killing 85 people and torching 11,000 homes. A total of 4,000 people have evacuated the towns of Cohasset and Forest Ranch, plus an additional 400 from the small city of Chico. I live in Alberta, and we're reeling from the devestation in Jasper. That's aweful what's happening in the US too, and my heart goes out to all those affected. The guy in custody that sparked the Park fire is a total **s-hole. I'll bet he's, made a lot of friends in the past days? I hope they prosecute him to the end of the earth!!!
