Projective Identification deals with the concept of what we do with feelings, thoughts, or the part of ourselves that we cannot tolerate. In this video, we will try to simplify the concept of Projective Identification proposed by Ogden in his paper called, “On Projective Identification”.

I brought this up, I said I will not unconsciously reenact childhood wounds. But then I proceeded to unconsciously reenact childhood wounds. I noticed it and I called it, but it started to hurt too much. And it got worse, and it ended up with the worst possible scenario I could’ve imagined. And it would’ve reinforced the loop had I not realized. Make better choices

I choose myself only

I guess I can’t regret it. It led me to myself and this still unconscious parts. I tried my best to call it out with the information I had at the time, I could’ve made better choices by walking away, though I really love this person, but I am the source of love

The exchange might be over and I am grieving still. But, the love did not depart. I don’t need anybody’s permission to love anybody, there’s enough love for everybody. It’s a state of being.

Helps to flip the locus of control. And instead of acting out and looking for protective identification, unconsciously, we can identify the core wounding. I think a wall might be hit at some point and help help. But not all therapist are equipped - more on the analytic side.

No! I have never experienced an intense conflict with a partner! I have had a group of people who don’t like me do this though!!

thats alot of pressure on the partner. I was in this recently where I was projected upon and repeatedly fell into being the insecure one even tho I do not normally feel this way in relationship. as a result he left right as we were finally starting couples therapy...- it feels like alot of pressure on ME to keep tolerating subpar behavior for an extended period of time while my needs go unmet.

John hasnt been studying most of the semester, sleeps in often and misses many of his classes, his grades are poor. John calls his roommate David who studies regularly, a lazy and stupid student. If David begins to identify with the idea of being 'lazy and stupid' then is this called projective identification? Basically is projective Identification when a) A person is doing projecting their bad qualities on someone else, or, b) the other person hearing the projection is beginning to believe this about themselves? Is productive identification a b or both? I would like to know specifically what is b) what is it called, for when the person who starts to believe these projections on them, that are not theirs? Does this B) aspect have a more specific name? For example if someone identifies as b) would they say they are: engaging in projective identification'? or, they are engaging in " emotional transference from projective Identification?

this is how we (#2Spirit here) become aware of our Ego around others

we can’t necessarily understand how they feel cause we aren’t of their culture (#indigenous to Europe) but we can sense when we cause them suffering

from there we grieve out how it makes us feel to know we cause them suffering

which sucks for us cause it’s always Abrahamic witch hunt ancestral karma projection

they can’t help but hate us arbitrarily

we have had a very Dark life

cheers

#ottawa #audhd

edit: it’s their ancestral karma all the Natives also come up against the same karma block they have to heal before they don’t see a right to mentally abuse us kinda thing

whether or not you meet the legal definition don’t matter their Egos will say it all every time you talk about your feelings

Edward Edinger says Jesus was discussing psychological projection 2000 years before psycho analysis.
Can you give him an honorable mention, please because it did not start with Melanie. However, she was a wise woman that brought this back and reinvented.
