What lure were you using? I like fishing saltwater but have never caught a halibut.

That is a halibut my friends. Flounders have rounder bodies, this one is long and the tail is halibut “V” shaped. Flounder tail is also curved round.

Back to fishing. You don’t set a hook on halibut. You use a circle hook and let the halibut set it themselves.
