It applies only when unit places become 10 and powers are same

45x45 = 2025

Saw pattern?
10s place is same. Sum of unit digit is 10.

Whenever this happens with any number, unit digits will be multiplied (2x8=16) and multiply 10s digit to its successor (4x5 = 20).

This is called Vedic Maths taught in India (in some schools).

This trick only works when two numbers have same tens and sum of the last digits of numbers is 10
Ex 54 and 56
76 and 74 etc.

For those who didn't understand she multiplied 2 and 8 she wrote the whole 16 there .then she added 1 to the 4 and it becomes 5 and ehe multiplied 5 and 4 she got the answer 2, 016its correct i checked it

Simple Explanations:

42× 48.

just make (672 × 2 = 1.344). Now just add an 671, 1.344 + 671 = 2.015 then just add an 1 and your equation is solved 🙂

I saw a video short where a gentleman showed a neat little trick

take 2 figures and multiply by another 2 figures

ie 83 x 99

83 - 1 = 82 this is the first figures in the answer
99 - 82 = 17 this is the second set of figures in the answer

Sure enough 83 x 99 = 8217

Take 345 x 999

345 - 1 = 344
999 - 344 = 655

True answer is 344655

But when you do 333 x 666

I worked it to be 332334 following the same process that I did in the first 2 examples

However when you do the equation on a calculator the answer is 221778!!

So I guess it doess it does not work for all multiplications!!!

It is relevant only when the sum of right digits is 10.
U multiplu the left digit with the number afterwards.

25*25=625
2*3
And 5*5
57*53=3021
5*6
And 3*7

Etc..

U cannot perform this on numbers such as:
53*58
52*57
98*93
Etc...

There are other methods.

This method only works when the tens digit is the same number and the ones digits add up to 10, for example, 76×74 using the method should be 5624 (unless i cant do maths.)
