Canon EOS 60D review (compared to the Canon EOS 40D)

You got a lot of facts incorrect in this review about the 40D !!!! do some more research before your next Video, very misleading to people who may not know these cameras.

I got one of these from santa this year! I've also ordered the sigma 70-300 DG APO from Amazon after watching your great review of it.

This is the perfect SLR camera for me :D Bought it just two months or so ago :D It fits my needs and suites me perfectly :D Photography does and will hopefully play a large part in my life :D

I like the flip screen and audio controls on the 60D. In the video mode, the 7D's records horrible audio and the body heats up during video mode. For travel the 7D is too bulky. They have the same sensor so image quality is exactly the same anyway. 7D has better auto focus but I focus manually often so that's not a big thing for me. I find 60D's auto focus adequate.

@nthusiastt The sensor is only one part, there are other chips etc inside the camera the affect the image. The 7d is very well known as making soft images and it is also commonly known that the 550d and 60d are free from this problem. Dont take it from me, look it up on google, there is tons of info about it.

Thats ok, it is a shock to most people. Canon had alot of angry emails and letters about it so the issue will be sorted out for the 7d mk2.

I tried both the 60D and 7D on several occasions... Prefer the 60D for sure!

@SuperMangn The 7d has the exact same sensor as a 60d. How are you gathering that it has softer image quality than a 60d?

@unprofessionalvids You must be mad, the mag alloy body on the 7d feel ten times better, the af system on the 7d is far more advanced and will be the future of mid range canon dslr. The 7d also can be used as a master flash control saving you alot of money if you wanted to go into using speedlights. The only problem with the 7d is the sharpness is too soft and image quality needs to be better. The 7d mk 2 should be much better image quality because many have complained to canon about it.

Why are we not considering the 50d? It is miles better than the 40 and not as good as the 60. Hopefully no one bought a 40d because of this video.

@SuperMangn mag alloy body = too big and bulky for travel. if you do a lot of video 7D overheats and you're getting error messages. Not having a flip screen makes a barebones 7D even more unintuitive for video.
