I can tell that Fr. Winston is really sincere in giving insights about forgiveness as he himself once experienced persecution from a former high-ranking justice government official nearly 2 years ago here in the Philippines. His experience is similar to what happened to Fr. Carlos Martins, except that Fr. Winston got charged of “offending religious feelings" and was arrested for it. He posted bail and with God's mercy, his case has already been dismissed by a local court.

I speak from personal experience when I say that forgiving those you feel have done you wrong is one of the greatest things you can do for yourself and for your spiritual growth as a Christian. A grudge is a gift from the devil himself, don't even think of accepting it.

Wow, I had just said that I was feeling hate yoward my ex, who i pray for everytime I say my nearly daily rosary and this video is posted 6 hrs ago and I just thought I would watch you tube for a moment b4 my nightly prayer. I was thinking about “forgive us our tresses as we forgive those who trespass against us.” This is very difficult for me. I am realizing I am angry with people who are not even here anymore! How silly. We want God’s grace and forgiveness, but we do not want to forgive?! Who am I to say who should be forgiven and who shouldn’t? How freeing to forgive, to not be held in the bondage of hatred and anger.

I want to forgive a certain family who wronged me years ago, but it is hard when they were purposely acting with deceit to set me up for the purpose of getting money out of me. Even more deflating is the fact that they went to my church.
I know we are all tempted, but I have never understood ppl dragging your name through the mud when you honestly did nothing to incite that incident. I don't want vengeance, I'd just appreciate an apology, which will never come. I'm trying to heal but it's hard.

I think it’s really important to show people like priests in their natural environment. The NASCAR fan drinking a cold beer and relaxing on the deck of their house. Real people, like you and me. That they’re not some statue you place on a pedestal. They’re silly, funny, goofy and human. Just like the rest of us.
And we all need God’s grace.
