[00:00] Step 1: Go to Murkwater Cave and Fight Patches but Don't Kill Him
[03:10] Step 2: Reset and Talk to Patches about that Chest then open the chest
[05:55] Step 3: Escape from the Bear and go back to Patches
[06:51] Step 4: Go to the Scenic Isle and Talk to Patches
[08:44] Step 5: Go to the Academy Schoolhouse Classroom Grace and get Eaten up by the Iron Virgin
[10:25] Step 6: Go to the Subterranean Inquisition Chamber Grace then back to Patches
[12:47] Step 7: Go to the First Mt. Gelmir Campsite Grace and Talk to Patches
[14:00] Step 8: Go check out the Shimmering Item then go back to Patches
[15:40] Step 9: Go to the Volcano Manor and Join the Family. Then Talk to Patches
[18:19] Step 10: Complete the 1st Request then Talk to Patches
[20:06] Step 11: Complete Patches Request. Follow my Guide in the Description Below if you need help getting there

If u joined the manor family before starting the questline, he will disappear after the first encounter. i can then find him again at the manor. Here u can continue step 10. this way u skipped step 2-8.

Has anyone found his final location yet? He does have more dialog which proves that he has a final location to finish his questline, he doesn't just die because if he was actually dead after giving you the dancers castonete or whatever tf it's called he would've dropped his bell bearing and clothes when reloading/resting at grace nearby but he doesn't, he simply vanishes. And we should all know by now when an NPC that sells things dies, you get their bell bearing. So why wouldn't you get his after he supposedly "dies" after giving you the item for Tanith

Everything went fine for me I'm to the point where I give the item to her but ik you can fight her and her knight so I'm wondering if I should hold off on killing her til we get more of the quest

You know, if you purchase a few things from him instead of just going to the chest. He actually thanks you and decides to offer you the chest, seeing you as a great customer. But once you open it of course, he mentions in the cut scene that he couldn't open the chest and glad you came along, and says you're the best customer he's ever had.

You were used as bait, because he was scared to open the chest.

Then you see him again, and he's like, "Who spends there time booby trapping chest, how would I've known, at least your safe." lmao

Patches just isn’t there after I saved him during the boss fight. Is something broken. I haven’t killed Maliketh so I don’t think that’s it either.

A lot of people seem to think this quest will continue but I don’t think it will. From the way he speaks it seems like he’s already on the verge of death in your last encounter. I think our friend patches has just met his end

His questline will probably be extended in a future dlc, just like ds3.

I rode past the stones on a mount so it didn’t trigger the cutscene and he’s not spawning in the manor and the stones are gone am I screwed?

Unfortunately I had to kill him on my second character cause I needed his pants to complete my outfit

if you kill him after he gave you the dancer castanets at the end, you can get his clothes and bell.

I was using the royal greatsword +10. I wanted to stop but I’d already started another front flip attack when he surrendered and I killed him 😭 I was too stronk

I'm pissed at tanith. Patches was tryna be a good person but she was too busy eating to realize that. Killed her and her simp.

So if after that you kill her, you get invaded by the her knight, then when you kill him you get an ash of war and you get her armor set

There is def gona be more and i assume it will end with us gettin patches set, tanith set and the spell from here crucible knight with out us actually killing the knight, tanith or patches

If u kill him by mistake quickly force quit the game when u do and u might be fast enough and leave before it saves. worked for me

I didn't want to kill Tarnith but after she rejected poor Patches's last gift now i have to! Ok i just want her helmet hehe
