Blasting with plain old water from a hose has always worked for me. I feel better not using anything that could hurt the ladybugs too.

I'm glad i heard this video... was just wondering what natural non-chemical method there has to be to kill Aphiddsss!! Thank you for the tip. Mixing that & placing in a fine mist spray bottle should work great for my indoor Hydroponics.

I am fighting aphids at this time. I have Dr Bronners peppermint castile soap. I'm thinking I need to mix it a little stronger. I haven't seen any Ladybugs, unfortunately 😢

I have an aphid problem because the ants here in TX love to farm the aphids on my beans or okra. It usually ends up killing the plants but spraying them off with water has worked the best for me so far! The leaf cutter ants though those can defoliate my entire garden over about 7 days and kill almost everything in the process if I don’t stay vigilant. It’s quite upsetting! They even attacked my blueberry bush and the natural Yaupon holly bushes also can get completely defoliated as well. It’s crazy!

So I’m zone 10a in st pete. I always get them really bad on my okra. But the okra turn out fine. It’s just ugly to look at for a while. But usually once the okra are at their 2-3 inch mark when I’m going to be picking them, the aphids are all gone and the okra is fine.

Any tips about leaf miners? Do they do harm? They are eating my brassicas. I just want to find a good companion plant to deter them.
