Called my local stealership and they indicated no knowledge of an SJB/GEM, or how to fix the fast-flash fault light. I'm glad SOMEONE knows what they're talking about.

Just bought the FORScan ELM327 adapter and I am excited to get it in the mail and try this. I have always hated using load resistors so thanks for the video. I just subscribed and will leave a new comment to update the community on my progress.

Thanks

A little bit of a fun fact. If you happen to have a 2013 F150 V6 3.5L Ecoboost like I do. Then if you don't happen to see or find GEM, then find BdyCM, NOT BdyCM (AS BUILT FORMAT). Otherwise you're really gonna f*** up the truck big time. From there you'll see the Stop and taillamp outage configuration. Hope this helps.

THANK YOU Sir for making this video! I had a rear left turn LED (previous owner install) that would hyper flash, the right side flashed normally . I was able to find the module and make the adjustments which solved the issue. I bought a 2013 F250 SD two years ago (its now mid-2024) and it came with this issue. Fiddled with the resistor on left side but did not help. I recently heard that FORScan was a very neat tool for these kinds of adjustments, and being the cheap bastid I am, I used the free 2 mo. version and found where to change the values. Many thanks again!! 👍

Thank you very much for this. Was a 2 minute fix that was driving me crazy after swapping out my lights for led lights.

Very good video. The change in Forscan is probably only for the rear and the front is just not as sensitive perhaps so some LED bulbs work in the front without triggering the outage fast flasher. So one path is to FIRST change only the rear to LED, make sure that works fine with the Forscan change and then after that is good, change the front to LED and if it goes in to outage fast flash mode, then find other LED bulbs and try until you find one that does not trigger it or just live with incandescent turn signals in the front and LED in the rear. I switched to RED LED in the rear due to the lights looking pink instead of red and not wanting to buy new tail light housings as they look fine just the red color became a bit faded over the years, the Red LED looks better than new.

Thanks so much! Will this work on a 2012 Ford F150 Lariat? And can you share a recommended link to buy the Forscan device/

2006 F350 My GEM only shows 4WD Electronic Shift on the Fly and Transmission. Is there any way to get it to show more information?

My Xtool D8 scan tool does not have this function. Forscan is the only way?

Thanks for the tip good buddy. I might make the lights 30A each to light the road with each flash thought I wonder which part of the fuse block flashes for the trailer connector?

Shop Talk, thanks so much.

I have a (drop dead mint, 23k miles) 2007 MGM that I tried to upgrade to LEDs, but hyperflash occurred. *In your experience, is the module you configured in the 2010 F-250 also in the Panthers ? From around 2000 forward the FCV. MGM and LTC went to a Lighting Control Module (LCM) where the flash functions are integrated.*

(No discrete flash in those Panthers; despite the internet world from AdvanceAuto to RockAuto to O'Reilly saying otherwise in their parts search, offering both regular and LED-compatible

Hi, I just turned it off on my 2010 Ford Flex, but without results. It says it is turned off, but still got the hyperflash. I did all you said in the vid, write and turn ignition off and on. What can be wrong? Thanks.
