F150 rear turn signal bulb replacement

If you've noticed that your turn signal is blinking faster than normal you likely have a bulb that needs to be replaced. Here's a quick video showing how to remove the rear light assembly so you can change the turn signal bulb. Demonstrating on a Ford F150 but many vehicles use a similar installation style. If your vehicle doesn't have exposed screws like you see in this video you'll likely find plastic covers inside the cargo/trunk area that will need to be removed first to expose the screws.

Thanks! I had a reminder in my phone to replace that bulb. I had done this before but had completely forgotten how to access it. Watched your video and walked outside in my pj’s to do this. Took me about four minutes.

Thank you. I used a flat head, put it in by the push pins, and popped it out easily. You made my life easier with this video

Thank you so much for taking the time and effort out in making this video. Solved my issue and first project I've ever done for myself on a vehicle. Working like brand new now

Your tutorial worked perfectly, took about 10 minutes to change (including tracking down a 8mm socket)

Thank you, very helpful demo. I just lost the lower left turn bulb, now I can replace it without a big service cost.

I have a fast directional blinker on my 2019 F-150 just like you did. I thought it maybe a fuse. Tomorrow I will go out and check out the directional signal lights. This gives me a good excuse to visit Harbor Freight and I see that as good thing. Thanks for posting this video.

Great video! I noticed driving in that a turn signal did the fast-pace meaning a bulb was bad. Wanted to see a video first! Thanks!

Thank God. A big flathead works perfect for pulling out the assembly. Even in dead winter when plastic cracks easily, was able to do it without a scratch. Thanks buddy

Appreciate your video! i replaced this about a year and half ago and it has gone out again now. I think it has something to do with rain and moisture. I am going to replace it again today. Thanks for taking the time to do this video man - it is much appreciated!

This is awesome! And so simple. Thank you so much for the video and step by step walk through (AND the explanations). My dad taught me everything under the hood, but boy if we didn’t forget the lights!

I had a hard time telling the filament was burnt. When it was in my hand . No way you could tell without pulling it.
Thanks, good info

Thank you for this! Because of your video I just replaced one of my turn signal bulbs myself. The whole process took less than 5 minutes start to finish and saved me well over $100 in labor at the shop
