FYI, I watched an interview with Warren Buffet. He was asked about buying GE. All of it, and taking it private. He voiced 2 reasons he wouldn't but did consider buying GE.
1. For every employee they have, they are paying 2.5 employees in retirement. 2.5 to 1 effectively on payroll vs revenue producing employees.
2. The complexity of their company, not being verticle, contracts with thousands of other companies.
The first has no ethical solutions and no reasonable financial solution.
The second is theoretically possible, but not feasable in a reasonable timeframe.

Betting on Elon pays well, even best. It worked for his cousins in 2006 starting a solar roof panel business too. They believed in Elon and the master plan. I suppose I'm a true believer too. Get $TSLA and HODL!

If they do go forward with a high-density urban van, which seems likely, it has the side benefit of also being a contractor/shipping van, like a Ford Transit.

It’s pretty shortsighted that some people assume the first Mars colonists will die from lack of oxygen.
Robots will probably be working on Mars for years or decades to get the colony ready for the first humans.
Lots of other places can probably be made habitable in the same manner.

Master plan Step #4 in 2006 said "provide zero emission electric power generation options". Clearly in 2016 when Tesla bought SolarCity, it was just an effort to help some friends or family (I forget the exact accused motivations) and not make sure that one of the four primary steps of the 2006 master plan 10 years earlier didn't fail. With hindsight, we can see how big the energy side of things has gotten and Elon is projecting that it will eclipse the automotive sales (not including auto autonomy revenue).

Elon definitely deserves monetary comp for the next book of Tesla. But getting him to 25% influence, I believe, could be partially achieved through a special class of shares that has no monetary value, but has voting rights. It's very important that he can be the steward of AI in Tesla, even if some audacious performance goals are not met.

I seen a Tesla Cybertruck last week, it was cool looking. But I only seen the back of it, it was in front of me and I seen a tiny bit of the side but I know it was that. Only 60 thousand, there's cars out there that cost millions. 60 thousand for a vehicle is a big waste of money still
